Etsy as a source for soy candles

Hello all. Since I no longer have a site selling my own soy candles, I figured I'd post another source for those of you wondering where to get them now.  I like Etsy, as it supports artisans of handmade items.

The image used here is Bahamian Coconut Soy Candle handmade by CitrusBlossomBrand on Etsy. Isn't it beautiful?

Candle Poems for Baby Shower Favors

Candle Favor PoemsCute Baby

Several variations below on a poem for a baby shower that can be given with a candle. Author is unknown.

Here is a candle that glows so bright
its given to you for you to light
when our little one has made its way
to celebrate the joyous day.

Here is a candle that glows so bright
its given to you for you to light
upon the arrival of our little boy
to celebrate our day of joy

Here is a candle that glows so bright
its given to you for you to light
upon the arrival of our little girl
to spread our happiness to the world

Here's a candle for you to light,
once the stork has made its flight.
With the flicker of the flame,
Say a prayer in the baby's name.

A little candle for you to light,
once the stork has made its flight.
The flame will glow to celebrate,
Baby _________'s arrival date.

This is a gift for you today,
so when I'm born you'll light my way.
And when the happy day is here,
Burn this candle and spread good cheer.

Here is a candle for you today,
To light when baby is here to stay.
When you light it's flickering flame,
Say a prayer in baby's name.

Here is a candle for you to light
Once the stork has made her flight
The flame will glow to celebrate
Babys Name's arrival date

A Christmas Candle Poem and Gift Idea

I found this on a craft site, but there's no crafting involved. They simply state to print out the poem and give it with a candle as a gift. Anyone can do this :)

If you are crafty, get creative with the paper you print the poem on, adding and embellishing as you desire. Other crafty ideas would be to use some creative packaging like a nice basket, origami box or gift wrapping techniques.

For a copy of this thoughtful poem, go to Craftbits.com.

Place a candle on the mantle,
Or perhaps a window sill;
Keep the love of Christ in Christmas,
Let it glow from now until...

Soy Candle of the Month - April 2010

April's Candle of the Month - Lilac!

An ancient Greek legend says that there was a young Pan, god of forests and fields. He met a beautiful nymph named Syringa. He admired her grace and beauty and decided to talk to her, but she was scared and ran away. Pan tried to catch her but she suddenly turned into a fragrant lilac bush. Pan burst out in tears at the beauty of the bush. He then wandered his forests and fields making good for everyone. And the name of Syringa became the Latin name of lilac.

Fresh and light, the smell of Spring is in the air!
