April's Candle of the Month - Lilac!

An ancient Greek legend says that there was a young Pan, god of forests and fields. He met a beautiful nymph named Syringa. He admired her grace and beauty and decided to talk to her, but she was scared and ran away. Pan tried to catch her but she suddenly turned into a fragrant lilac bush. Pan burst out in tears at the beauty of the bush. He then wandered his forests and fields making good for everyone. And the name of Syringa became the Latin name of lilac.

Candle for a Cure - Hope

Candle for a Cure
Created for Susan G. Komen for the Cure to breast cancer, this Limited Edition 16oz pink jar candle is perfumed with high-end designer fragrances.

For each Hope Candle sold, Scent-Sations will donate $6.00 to the Foundation with an initial goal of $5000. Scent-Sations will also be donating the $4.00 per jar handling fee that is normally charged on jar candles for any website orders of this special candle. That means $10.00 for each Hope Candle ordered from my website will be donated to this cause. This candle will only be available until January, which unfortunately isn't very long. However, it is enough time to order them as Christmas gifts!

An estimated 192,370 new cases of invasive breast cancer will occur among women in the United States during 2009. And an estimated 40,170 women will die from breast cancer. In addition to invasive breast cancer, an estimated 62,280 new cases of in situ breast cancer will occur among women in 2009. Also, about 1,910 men will be diagnosed and 440 men will die of breast cancer during 2009 in the United States. That's right, men can get breast cancer too.
